Uni Juniors welcomed to the big leagues

Had to smile on the weekend Uni under 14's had their first game in the Gold league.... They had been a real Dominant force in the Swan grade winning every week by 30 - 40 points...... probably thought they were heading for the premiership...... Rightly so they were transferred into the Gold competition...... Result ...... DEFEAT!!!! 40 - 7 ..... :-( ...... Shame the same cant be done with their 4th grade side....???

let's hope that Rocky can hold on to those juniors for a few more years , you also have some really good under 13 players at Rocky as well

I would be interested to know a couple of points if I can

When do the kids get split between gold and swan and how if the club has two teams at an age group decide on who goes to play in gold and who goes into the swan division?

Isaac, the son of Mr North and future publican of plays in Uni U14 team, you may have even purchased a match day program from him on Saturday if entered Nib from Gate 1

generally if a club has two teams one goes in each . 13's Rocky Swan team just got moved up to Gold so they now have two teams in Gold . probably not that fair in my opinion as the Swan kids will struggle a bit but on the pro side good for their development

if a club has one team they nominate and the WAJRU accepts the nomination or puts them in a division based on results from previous year . then they review each comp after a few rounds to fix up any side truly dominating or struggling to try and keep the balance in competition

And his job will get easier in about 4 years when he is selling us all beer

I think a bloke called Mitch Hardy is their coach (involved in some way) and he can often be seen selling match day programs as well
