Any truth to the rumour that ex Force player, Pussey is actively recruiting Force players on behalf of Cott and as late as yesterday was diverting players from the clubs towards Cottesloe training with various inducements?

The sum of $400 per game for Rasolea was mentioned plus some additional inducements such as a job for his girlfriend and some other financial titbits.

Can anyone verify this?

Why can't so-called "professional" players just play for clubs because its the right thing to do and not scramble around looking for every last cent they can get. The word "professional" doesn't mean "I'll do anything for money"; there are other parts of being a professional like community responsibilities, responsibilities to sponsors etc or even just a bit of good old fashioned self respect.

How much do you think Rasolea gets paid by the Force, $150k ? He might be on that for the next 10 years all going well then what? Why wouldn't he be trying to make the most of his career?

Next you'll be applauding him for busking outside NIB stadium before the game to raise an extra $30 or so.

150K would be about 100k after tax or around 2k per week. Hence earning a further 400 cash in hand per week is another 20% on his pay. You saying you would turn down a 20% pay increase?

The Force players will never play more than 3 or 4 club games (history suggests a lot less) so playing for a local club is never going to be a great earner - its the principle that's being debated here.

Maybe I should just refer my mate at the ATO to Cott and Uni and let him flush these tax dodgers out!

Someone posted the RUPA info somewhere. From memory EPS base salary is approximately $45 000 and base FPS salary is approximately $60 000.
Also the Force can only award a maximum salary of $110 000. ARU and 3rd party deals kick in anything over this amount. Rasolea is not ARU contracted and wouldn't attract 3rd party deals yet being a first year unproven player.

Anyway i thought Jordan Rapana was aligned to Paly along with Salesi Manu. They were last year. Even remember Nalaga and Taione playing against Kala at Hartfield last year.

Yeah but it is fun googling names that you don't recognise when they do appear and doing a bit of background research the most interesting one i came across was wanneroo's new winger who's wife left him for Jonah Lomu, i was none the wiser beforehand but it made for a good read during the lunch break

The $110'000 wage limit was removed when the salary cap was introduced, they can pay him as much as they like (within the salary cap obviously).
