The bloke has been told he is rugby's gift since he was 14 years old. This is a symptom of a ridiculous media hype about Kurtley Beale since before he had pubes.

Kurtley has had a ridiculous amount of pressure heaped on him since his school days. He has had no role models in his private life outside of rugby. The Ella's need to be careful about blowing their trumpets because they were hardly angels.........times have changed though and you have to eveolve.

The reality is Kurtley has some issues and it is good that the ARU/Rabbles are helping him sort this out.

It is fair to say that nobody wants to lose his talents to another code. It is fair to say that his issues can be dealt with.

The problem is the lack of direction for Kurtley.

His life outside of the training paddock/match day obligations is a wreck. He is heading for the scrap heap of life and he's got his foot on the accelerator.

Worse than a ban, fine, rest.........he should be told that this indescretion has cost him his place in the wallabies team to play the Lions. If he ever wants to play for the wallabies again, he needs to stay out of the headlines, stay off the booze and get himself down to his fighting weight of ( x? ). If his weight goes over x , then he won't be selected.

Henjack was a no talent Bogan. Lets keep it real. This is the real world. KB is a highly talented rugby player and an aboriginal athlete of exceptional ability. It would be nice to keep him in the game and to use his profile to develop other aboriginal kids with extraordinary ability.

There is no point throwing the baby out with the bathwater. The difference between Henjack and Beale is that nobody wanted Henjack on their playing roster. What has he done since?

Kurtley needs better role models in his life.

Kurtley has some value because of his talent. He just needs to be managed better.

    That's just how it is.

Life isn't a level playing field.

I agree with you to a point Rex. Just because his being Aboriginal can't be used an excuse, he had a good education at St Josephs with what I've heard have some great teachers & rugby mentors. Not knowing anything about his own family background I can't comment on whether it was good or bad, but he's had more advantages given to him than a lot of other kids. He's also not the only one who's had heaps of pressure put on him, but you don't see all of them going off the rails. (altho JOC and QC are debatable) Yes there's pressure to perform - but maybe they've been killing him with kindness. No doubt there's other equally talented kids we don't even know about in the shadows who haven't had half his chances (eg look at our own local kids). Interesting to note also that as in the adage of alcoholics they have to admit they are an alcoholic themselves which he is still denying he has a problem with. Zac Guildford's probs were addressed and he's been allowed back so we'll see what happens there.

Jesse Mogg, get your wallaby socks on. It's time we had some talent in the wallabies instead of an ego that has never matched the hype.

henjak was for a time touted as the #1 halfback in Aus.. he may have been a bogan but he was talented. He has played some good rugby in France for a while but not sure what he is doing now.. things may have been very diferent if he was given the same opportunities as Kurtley has.

As alcoholics say, I had a moment of clarity

he should be sacked from the wallabies

The only language he understands is egotistical, self centred "it's all about me"

Hit his ego, open his eyes. Taking money off these gimps is like giving Donald Trump a parking ticket.

take away national selection and all the prestige that comes with it = result

The only thing he cares about is his rugby reputation. Take it away from him and he gets a real look at his future. This should be motivation enough. If that doesn't work, tear up his contract.

He keeps getting the silver spoon and the red carpet into the wallabies. This is what needs to change and taking this away will flick the switch to open his eyes wide enough for the personal growth he needs.

I have oodles of respect for Gareth Delve - great player and a really nice guy by all accounts. Maybe he shouldn't have gone against the coach's advice on this occasion, BUT to be fair to him, he is supposed to be dealing with responsible adults, not teenagers, so should have been able to rely on them to behave themselves.

Beale is not fit to tie Delve's shoelaces imo.
