    EPS 2013

    1. Michael Snowden - May possibly be promoted to replace Sheehan.
    2. Salesi Manu - Promoted to replace Ma'afu.
    3. Rory Walton - ?
    4. James Hilterbrand - ?
    5. Sam Christie - Promoted.

Below has a nice W.A flavour and I predict a couple of these lads to hopefully be offered an EPS contract if not all as outlined below.

    EPS 2014

    1. Ryan Louwrens (Half back) Force Academy, Perth Gold & Force 'A'

    2. Oliver Hoskins (TH Prop) Force Academy, State 15s, State 16s, WA Schoolboys Div 1,
    Australia A Schoolboys, U20s, Perth Gold & Force 'A'

    3. Bruce Smith-Wright (Lock) Force Acdemy, State 16s, U20s, Perth Gold & Force 'A'

    4. Bradley Lacey (Outside back) - Force Academy, State 15s, WA Schoolboys Div 1, Perth Gold & Force 'A'

    5. Luke Burton (Fly half) Force Academy - State 15s, State 16s, WA Schoolboys Div 2,
WA Schoolboys Div 1, Perth Gold & Force 'A'

love the concept Pacman, however I would caution against having a young, development flyhalf in the EPS. Kyle is our young development flyhalf and the squads are too small to double up on this sort of stuff. Sure as eggs if we have a flyhalf cooling his heels behind Kyle we'll lose one (or both) of them and end up having put a lot of time and effort into a position only to have it come to nought.

If Kyle's not the bloke, then fine.....run another WA kid around in the EPS, looking for him to take the step up, but get Kyle on a contract and career plan which works around that. It's not fair to him or us to string him along as the golden boy when you know you have something better in the wings.

(ps I haven't seen Luke play, so I don't base this on any assessment of their relative value to the team.)

Yep a very good core of level 1 Academy boys coming on and I meaning Thomas I think as the other Two dads lock may have been converted to wing centre this yr if I'm not mistaken.

Love the thinking but I think probably only Ollie Hoskins is ready for the step up to Super Rugby. Maybe Ryan Louwrens too. It's great that there are all of these young guys champing at the bit but I think it would be another year or two until they are fully ready.

Yes I know, wish full thinking.
Hoskins is in the Aust. U20 training camp and would love for him to make that then go on to sign a Force EPS contract.

Lacey could do with a year in the Aust. 7s setup then a EPS contract somewhere (Hopefully with the Force) but the 7s team is not easy to make.

Hopefully we start to see the Academy boys rolling into our EPS spots between the ages of 18 to 22.

Isaiah Mosese who was working with Nestor at the Academy and Grace at Aranmore CC got a EPS contract with the Rebels at the end of 2011 straight out of Yr12 Aranmore CC at age 17.

He's now playing NRL 20s with the Eels.

If the chat in RWA club circles continues in favor of local products achieving higher honors with the Force a few should trickle through.

It seems that WA is getting a bit more respect with five lads being invited to the second U20s camp for the upcoming Junior World Cup.

Richard Cooper, Corey Thomas, Brad Lacey, Luke Burton and Ollie Hoskins who played last year, are all off sometime soon to have a crack at getting on the plane for the 2013 tournament in France in June.

    Good luck lads.

Interestingly, the SA rugby report says 11026: http://www.sarugby.net/matchbreakdow...&fullview=true

    Although the Tah's website says 11,206: http://www.waratahs.com.au/News/News...2/Default.aspx

Just a typo on the SA site, I suppose.
