Sad to see him go but its the best decision. Everyone can move forwards and on. Just wish these young guys could lose the attitude they seem to get so easily. He's had 1 - 2 good seasons and all of a sudden are you God's gift? It's a real pity it works out this way as all the fans have loved seeing him play, but I guess them's the breaks.

    this is a massive shame

getting sick of reading this kind of thing. but standards are standards. and repeated breaches are repeated breaches. someone has to draw the line sooner or later.

probably made easier seeing as he was gone already. (thanks for finally giving us the official word he had signed elsewhere RugbyWA) But it still sucks.

am over thinking "i'd love to have him back if he gets his shit together", Thanks for your time Alfi, but it's for the best that he's gone. go mess with another club mate.

Absolutely the right move by the Force and good on them, wish other franchises would do the same.

These guys are role models for kids and need to show that they are not invincibles, I loved Alfie and what he did on the field but he has over stepped the line and like any employer no one is bigger than the company.

Tough decision by the Force board but by golly the correct one, other franchises and sports need to do the same we need everyone singing from the same sheet.

The kids of the future will not learn by us telling them what to do, they need to see it by the example we lead.

    Well done Force

i might be looking at this a bit pessimistically here. but the decision was really easily made - while still giving them impression of taking a hard line on breaches of standards. Alfie was gone anyway. so there really wasnt much point investing too much more effort into him.

I agree with every word but what I don't know is what he has done. Don't tell me any conferences but was it right and will the same penalty bought against others who do similar?

Put it this way SNOB, if we catch you with a beer in your hand you'll be on the next flight home to Soweto.

If every time I was caught with a drink in my hand I think I would be sent to Serbia.
Soweto is just a little bit south of my area RM!😄
I think the new culture that Foley/RWA is trying to bring in is great. And I wouldn't have lasted long!

Yeah, I think you're a bit harsh Jono. We still have almost a half a season to play and he IS the competition's leading try scorer, we could really do with him for the rest of the season.

I applaud the tough decision of taking team standards over ability to play, it might not pay easy, quick dividends, but once they have finished the job and reached peak form it's the only way to create a dynasty.

Interestingly, the recent trend in the team is for gutsy performances which trust the systems and don't necessarily involve a huge number of points. (except the Brumbies) I hope this will increase now that the sorry affair has been put to bed and similarly hope that this line in the sand helps Alfi to sort out whatever was his issue and come back to top class rugby a better player.
