Driving to work on Scarborough Beach Road just off Main St, a 4WD pulled out and across in front of me from a stop sign , I had to swerve to avoid him, and I was given the bird.... WT??

I had a truck and trailer pull out this am in the rain on to an 80k road causing about 10 cars to slow to 10k so gave him the lights and got the finger back. Some of the drivers here are not bad drivers they are just pig ignorant selfish bastards!

The message of Normie's service was about how dangerous road rage can be.
Regardless of what happens. How frustrating/dangerous/close of a call it is. It's not worth snapping over...

Doesn't surprise me one bit Hertryk.

Red lights seem to be optional these days too. I've seen more than one person sail right through intersections on red recently. And my sis-in-law had her car written off a couple of weeks back as some douche ploughed into the back of her as she was stopped at a red light (ironically as she was taking her daughter to hospital for surgery!)

Would love to see police/insurance company figures for the past 10 years so we can judge just how dangerous driving in Perth has become.

I know drugs and alcohol play a huge part in RTAs, but I also wonder about the licensing system - for example, how rigorously do they check driving competency/history when converting migrants' drivers licences into WA ones? Answer = not at all if my experience of converting my UK licence was anything to go by.

R.I.P Normie - you are in my thoughts every single day.

I've had a couple of near misses at traffic lights in recent times

Unfortunately there are several causes of major accidents with speed being the major factor when my old man was run off the road a couple of years ago. The f**kwit driving the car that was at fault was driving at 120km/h in a 60 zone, clipped the curb and got airbourne. Had my old man not been driving a 4WD he would be in a pine box and not walking around with a permanent disability.

Meanwhile the oxygen theiving piece of human is walking around after recovering from a broken collarbone. I really should chase up how the legal proceedings ended up given last I heard he was charged with grevious bodily harm and insurance fraud.

Drivers licences are not a right, they are a privilege.

WA is off to record start this year in regards to the road toll and yet people will still drive around like f**kwits thinking they are bulletproof and unfortunately they kill and maim other people while the moron in the wrong will survive and cop an extremely soft sentence

yes, one thing i really hate is that criminal pay their debt in time, but do not compensate their victims for what they have done.

There should be a way to measure the impact on the victim, and use that to appropriately sentence the perpetrator. If they have life long medical injuries, you have a lifelong fine (assuming the person was acting illegally etc).

In sport, i also hate foul play (high shots etc) which give a penalty, but result in the opposition player having to leave the field permanently. The penalty should be upgraded to yellow. This way enforcers (like in the old days) would pay a penalty for taking out their oppositions best player.

Sometimes eye for an eye is being far too nice.

A MAN accused of causing the death of a driver during an alleged drug-fuelled road rampage along busy Perth roads has been denied bail.

Rodney Allen Beard, 35, is charged with manslaughter, intent to harm, reckless driving and driving under the influence of methamphetamine following the death of father-of-four Mark Noormets last December.

Prosecutors allege Beard became enraged after another driver attempted to overtake him on Thomas Road, near Byford, south-east of Perth, on December 6.

After ramming into the other car in his Great Wall ute, Beard allegedly chased the other driver and rammed into his car twice more, as the other driver attempted to dial triple-zero.

As he continued the chase, Beard allegedly crossed onto the wrong side of the South Western Highway and crashed head-on into customs officer Mr Noormets, who died at the scene.

Sorry, wasn't suggesting the situation was good, it's heart wrenching and won't get better for some for a long time. All too often people get bullshit sentences, at least he's not out and about living his life when normie's family is still rebuilding theirs.

I'm glad he was remanded. And hope they throw the book at the c**nt

Just read in the west that the bloke that hit him is in a wheel chair from the crash, has pleaded not guilty to unlawfully killing, as well as a couple of other charges related to the prior road rage.

trial is set for mid October. Hoping he get what he deserves and that Normies family can get a little closure. I hope for their sake it is an extremely quick trial.
