I am so sorry for his friends and family that are left behind to deal with his loss. He sounds like he was such a nice person and the circumstances are so tragic and awful. There seems to be so many angry people in the Perth these days. It's depressing.

I too am stunned by this news.

I heard of the incident and had my thoughts about the drivers; the innocent party and the other guy, but never even thought I'd know of anyone involved.

I never met Normie in person - just like I've not met most the TWF family, but it'is like a family, right?

My thoughts go to all his direct family and those others closely affected by this.

Normie - you will be greatly missed in this place mate.

Senseless, tragic needless loss of someone who had so much more to give, I had the previllage of meeting Normie on Tuesday's night POTY at JB's for the first time and saw that he was a fun loving person. Alison's great photo of Normie & Nathan should be hung on the wall at JB"s. My thoughts & prayers go out to all his family & friends at this very sad time

I (like others) didn't get the privilege of meeting you Normie, and by all accounts by everyone you were 1 heck of a great guy and good spirit who contributed generously to the community. You've left the world a better place for you being here.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
    And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand
Slainte Normie and let your spirit soar!!

    Do you think that

Not sure if this is a good time to suggest this but I think that at our first home game we should honour our fallen Hero and have a minutes silence

RIP Normie so sad to lose a comrade
Our sympathies to the family and his children.

We met Normie again on Tuesday, I've only just discovered he was involved in this accident. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends. It also makes me feel so lucky for the great people I have met with the Twf family, and sad to have lost one so soon

I didnt know the bloke, and cant say Ive posted a lot on here, but losing a fellow force fan, and by all accounts a great guy, made me feel like sharing this snippet of information from the previously posted article:

"...A fundraising account has been set up for Mr Noormets' family at the Byford branch of Bendigo Bank."

I don't know if this is a worthy idea, but.....

When I was younger playing rugby, our club lost one of our players during the off season. The next year, on our jerseys we had the guys name tributed under the club badge, it read "RIP Mark Jones 1974 - 1991". It served as a poignant reminder of the great friend and player we'd lost.

I know there has been some talk of a new TWF jersey in state colours possible coming out in the not too distant future. Maybe it would be a fitting tribute to have the same sort of thing for Normie....

Like many others here I never met him but definitely feel I knew him through this site. Such a senseless loss. Words escape me, just sadness for all his loved ones he left behind and hatred for the person responsible.
