    He is moving back to Sydney to start his law career. Rugby's no longer his day job.

    Yes. AFAIK his contract with the Force was paid out. When he signed with the Rebels he got a chunk of change from being dropped by the Force and then got the cash from his Rebels contract.

    It could be argued then that the force undertook the greater ouch by backing out of a signed contract.....and paying it out to move him to Melbourne rather than simply choosing not to activate the second year of a 1+1
