Scary the way he'd catch a ball deep and then just accelerate in to contact. It was like watching the first 10 seconds of Origin 1!

That boy has got no thought for self preservation once he crosses the chalk. A trait that I have massive admiration for. I can't remember the last time I saw him come off with out a head wound!

He's deffo a few croissants short of a continental brekky!
I admire his lunacy and reckless disregard for personal safety. If only he could /would offload the pill.... I love his style, but have to admit it doesn't lead to a lot of tries.

he got a try after driving over Judas like a road bump. That was stylish.

It's the laws that make for boring rugby not Deans. Test Rugby is boring because stakes are too high for losses. Look at the gnashing and back stabbing, excuses and critiques coming from NZ after their first loss in 20 games.

Link will be forced to play the same defensive orientated game plan in test rugby as Deans does.

    Change the laws as follows;

    1. Bring back rucking - the ball is being slowed down far too often in the tackle and Ruck area, a few well placed studs on the arm, hand or leg protecting the ball will stop that.

    2. With far more athletic players today, make the field 10m wider and 20 meters longer.

    3. Get back to the point that when scrum was called, players must be on the mark and ready to engage as a pack within 3 seconds, if not, slower team loses the ball and quick tap must be taken. If fake injuries are used as a method to slow down scrum engagement, yellow card for cynical play.

the only problem with making the field bigger, is it may filter down to us plebs... i can't run a longer pitch!

It's hard enough to see the other end of the pitch as it is.....

McCabe gets far more stick than he deserves. His best Rugby is at #15 but he plays to instruction at #12, hit it up and recycle. The over use of SBW one arm offloads and Benji Marshall quadruple goosesteps makes me want to headbutt the TV.

I agree re the dimensions of the field, there just isn't the same amount of effective room now that 2012 Props are faster the 1912 Wingers.

Pocock + Hooper. Pocock for 80 mins unless injured. Hooper to sub the #6 at 55 if no injuries.
Speculation of Hooper being better than Pocock was put to bed last weekend, at least for now. The kid is good, but he isn't Pocock.

but he usually doesn't recycle. Everybody in the world knows he runs too upright and holds him up now. So unless the instruction has been hit it up and lose it in a maul, you can't really say he's been playing to instruction.

There should be support up his Khyber to ensure it becomes a ruck.

Then maybe you could ask Chiselhead, next time you see him, whether he has managed to get those corporate mates of his on board yet. We'll need lots of their money to develop that extra 200sqm of pitch.

Yeah he does get way too much criticism. He's not a bad player, but he's not of international standard and he's in the Wallabies setup because of injuries and a shortage of decent centres.

Don't worry. Izzy will take his place next year. Seeing as the ARU chipped in for his salary he will be the first person selected so they can make him into the next dual international.

Geez - Izzy would be lost at centre, put him at Fullback. After a coupla season in GAYFL he surely is able to kick and mark so we now have security under the high ball, have him run off the shoulder of Beale at 10 or JOC at 12 with AAC dropping back to FB on these attacking plays - My mouth is drooling already. I'd like to see DC take on Izzy at full speed off KB's inside shoulder....

Oh man - 2013 is going to be awesome....
