    PG Hampshire

    When is it?

Whom is everyone's prediction to win?

What about the other awards - coach, referee etc?

    Where were you last night?

7:00am Friday morning at State Basketball centre

I would like to think coach would be Neddies Prems coach, considering he has made finals in past 4 years with one flag and put in a heap of time with junior teams as well. BUT, he doesn't network very well.

Referee I would like to think will be same guy reffing Premier Grade Grand Final.

PG Hampshire, be very interesting as I think tope four teams had many capable of being Best on ground BUT would have taken points off each other, so my money is on Razor at Pally.

Personally i think Rat Naylor will get the PG Hampshire award this year! But i would like to see our prop Laione poll well, he has been so dominant in his position in every single match this year and finished the season just behind Rat in the top try scorers but a prop is never really going to stand out too much when they are amongst all the bodies doing the hard work...

Laione is a stand out for sure...but you're right, props don't get awards. I like the young fullback from Roo Dogs - great athlete, pity we've lost him to that other Rugby code.

Matt O'Brien is the ref. He's a FIFO dude, so maybe he won't win the gong if he hasn't been reffing every week? I wouldn't be surprised if Coops gets the gong. Nor if Ninkov does.

Second, maybe third player Wanneroo have lost to NRL in two years. A bad sign?
No real pathway for our youngsters into the Force?

Do Force players get votes? Tetera was a stand out for the Dogs every game. Destroyed everything in front of him and scored about eight tries. Missed a few games on Force duty so that may count against him.
But as you said props don't get awards

I can't see why they shouldn't get points - they are playing that game... Tetera did have a very good season, he should poll well

Ninkov doesn't deserve ref of the year after his butcher job of last weekends U/20 preliminary final.
Calverly has gone alright this year, Coops too.
Rob Callan? has been good too.

Gees I saw Calverley under fire from a feral Cott contingent at the Foreshore, and he took it well. Coops has had a good'un as well, he is really getting it together.

I put this guy's name up a few seasons ago, and was told - he's not a first grade player (and wont be), funny how things change.
