I thought Barnes was just cramping.

Genia proved himself to be touchy and difficult with Kafe last night.....now I'm even more glad we dodged that bullet. Imagine how it would be for a young, untested backline to develop amongst that expectation. I know the blokes we've got next year will need time to find their feet and somebody who reads a situation that poorly could easily break the confidence of his teammates.

The team has been widely criticised for lack of commitment, lack of ticker, lack of passion, lack of ability etc etc etc

    It reflected a seige mentality

You could see how desperate the wallabies were to win that game when they scored the tries in the second half. They celebrated with an extra little bit of passion that revealed a sense of relief as much as anything else

I thought it was unusual too, he was right on the front foot to a comment 99% of the population would understand easily. Genia's scored a bit of criticism recently, maybe he's a bit thin skinned, or was he a little bit tender (apart from the knee)?
From the recent post-game interviews I've seen him give both as a Wallaby and as a Red, he seems to be very thin-skinned. Also rather ungracious. I think a captain should be better than that.

Kafe was right, Genia did have an average game. Slow service, poor kicking and no real runs of note. Kafe covered himself well with the injury comment.
Leaders are MEN like Sharpie not SULKERS like Genia.

There's talk of Sheehan being in the frame for another gold jersey, there is still plenty of potential for box kicks benny

Have to say I dont agree with the anti Genia comments. He is the one player we can't replace, the other halfbacks don't come close

Also I think it is a disgrace that Genia, the smallest guy on the field has to catch all the box kicks and bombs because the others can't and this is how he did his knee

To clarify, I certainly am not anti Genia, he's Australia's best #9 by miles and would love to have him here. Am a bit dirty on him off field for his backflip from handshake agreement, but nothing to do with his on field position.

Agreed....I also don't think he makes a great captain. But still the best playing nine in Australia.

He has been a very good captain for the Reds when Big Kev has been injured. His success rate is very high. He is a hard marker, but frankly, we need that in Australian Rugby these days - it has become very soft. Player's egos and apologists in the blosphere are giving these nancy boys an easy ride. The underachievement of the Wallabies these days is rivalling the English soccer team.

Jesus frakkin Christ. The bloke was the captain of Australia. He has a career threatening injury which will require major surgery and massive prolonged rehab. Show him some respect you plonker.
