To call the Para-Olympics the lame Olympics. Mate I dunno but it feels like it crosses a line.
After so much time out, too. You've fulfilled our expectations of you Mud. Give yourself an uppercut.

    On a more positive note..

Did anyone see the men's indoor volley ball final tonight between Brazil and Russia? You play 5 sets and Brazil was up 2 sets to 0 and serving for the gold medal in the third set - they choked. Russia came back to win 3 sets to 2. Now that's REAL Olympic games entertainment - deadset.

I dont think synchronised swimming is stupid, I just don't think it deserves Olympic status. Clearly it takes a lot of skill. But then again brain surgery never gets a mention. Introduce tackling and I may consider synchronised swimming to be a sport.

Actually, this would be quite an accomplishment, 'cos if you have 3 on one side of the boat and 4 on the other you have to apply full rudder to stop the boat turning. When 'lay down Sally' stopped rowing, effectively one of the other rowers on the other side had to stop, too.

    any shooting event.

but the "50m Rifle Prone" is just ridiculous.
pulling a trigger is not a sport, laying down aiming at a stationary target is even less so.

What about Bowls? It is in the Commonwealth games, why not the Olympics?

Secondly - do something about Pole Vaulters who decide amongst themselves in the heats who should go into the finals????

    yes and no.

the movie is pretty much what you said. Lock a group of people in a big arena let them kill each other till there is only 1 left. all this while the world watches on tv.

Isn't impaling a bit too violent for the Olympics?
