for the record, Cheika was hotly pursued by the Western Force. Force insiders told Sunday Maul that Cheika visited Perth recently to talk to their officials. He was frank enough to tell them the Waratahs position was his ideal return job in Australia, but as it wasn't open at the time, he would not push for it.
The Force are boasting they have a new director of rugby after Michael Foley defected to Perth, but behind the scenes there is endless drama. There appears to be confusion about the head coach role, with Todd Louden and Brian Melrose among the candidates, while two Waratahs were surprised to get a nasty text message from a Force official yesterday. Another Force official hasn't helped himself with pathetic remarks about David Pocock after he decided to leave for the Brumbies. The official's remarks about Pocock were appalling. And don't be surprised if you see Waratahs halfback Sarel Pretorius at the Force next year."

 

1) Seems like there is still a leak of some sort. This HAS to be plugged!!
2) I don't see ANY confusion public or private about the "Head Coach" role. WTF does he think "Head Coach" actually stands for? It has been clearly spelt out what role Foley will be playing.
3) WTF with officials making 'pathetic appalling' remarks re: Pocock? Anybody seen or heard anything like that? I certainly haven't (unless said "official" is on TWF haha - and BTW its not moi)
4) Pretorious is contracted to Tahrds

All this is under a headline "Bozo" about the Tahrds - he just cannot resist having a dig at Force

Cheika recently visited Perth and notified the Force he had been approached by the Waratahs, but he preferred to give the Force the right of first option as NSW ''talked, but promised nothing''. It is understood Cheika left the Force meetings impressed, with ''the only thing to be done being the paperwork''.

A leak will never be plugged Bison.

If they find one, and sack the offender - Growden or others will recruit someone else.

Plus there will be other times when RugbyWA will need to use a leak to get out some information.

Now that ARU have brought out rules about talking about contract negotiations before they are settled (Genia-gate) there will be times when RugbyWA will need to utilise the method of a leak for their own good - not for evil.

A leak isn't always a bad thing.

One correction Ex the ARU has had rules about contract announcements for several years now (Kanaar-gate) they only enforce them "for the good of Australian rugby" though!
