I have watched the Force from afar and the loss of players is no surprise .
More importantly it would be better to use the players you have in their correct positions.
Example ..... Sam Wara ... Playing on the wing ????? He is the best 5/8 I have seen ..... reads a game can run and move and set other players up ...... that is what the Force have lacked all year ..... not enough Tries . By the way he can Tackle as well.
Also stop trying to play the staid old rugby game ....... convert to the Ella Style of Play and you will win games ....... the other sides would not know what hit them

When breaking up, it's best to remove all photos to stop being reminded of someone - helps to move on...

I just emailed Rugby WA to get their homepage updated, replacing Poey's image with someone else like rising star Kyle Godwin.

Badger and Charles are already on the home page along with Matty Hodgson. BennyMacs also a good choice.

Still massively disappointed by Pocock's decision, the captain should be the most dedicated person on the team to the concept of the team, not the first to leave. If he wanted an example of how a captain should act in a team under duress he only needed to look at the Freo Dockers - Pavlich has been in the AFL's version of the Force his whole career and has never looked like leaving and i dont imagine he would have had any problem in getting a job anywhere in the AFL if he had wanted a move.

Perhaps the appointment of Pocock as captain in the first place was another case of poor judgement by FOrce management?

I know I'll get slated for saying this, but quite honestly I don't think Poey was all that as captain. He always seemed to need Sharpie's counsel, especially in the early part of the season. I think it was a case of him being given the captaincy too soon in his career. Ditto for the Wallabies captaincy too.

    There, I said it!!!

I tend to agree (and not just because the grapes have been a bit sour).

I dont think you'll get a slating, Ali. I think he was being groomed to be a leader a liitle bit before he was ready and I think one of the reasons was that Sharpie was there for him and thus he would have immediate support from the best while he was learning the trade. The other reason was blatant sycophancy hoping it would make him stay.

Pocock the captain was very similar to Sharpie the captain - very conservative in his decisions. He was getting better towards the end of the year, taking some risks in kicking penalties for touch rather than always going for the 3 points, and I think if he'd stayed we would have seen more of his personality come out. But the Wallabies looked an awful lot like the Force with Pocock in charge (albeit with a more effective kicker!)

Shouldn't need to learn how to be a captain though. You're either a leader of men or you're not, imo anyway.

    From a different angle.

If reporters can speculate - well why can't I? Bare with me for a second I am going to take you on a journey.

Lets say at the start of the 2012 season - say even pre-season training camp. Nathan Sharpe sits down with current coach Richard Graham and Rugby Manager Mitch Hardy. Sharpie says - this is my last year - I want to spend some time with my sons. I have a business opportunity that can potentially set me up for the rest of my life. I will do this season but thats it. (or words to that affect).

At the same time Mitch Hardy - with his one eye always to the future knows that some time this year he needs to do some serious contract negotiations with David Pocock for his contract renewal.

So Nathan, Richard and Mitch sit down again - and Mitch says - Nathan for the the good of the Club going forward how about we give BamBam the Captaincy this year. Lets face it he is a Sponsors wet dream - doesn't drink doesn't smoke, new bride, his own charity organisation, hell even the ARU has a hard on for the kid. If he stays healthy he is going the be the best Wallaby we have ever seen - he is that clean he makes John Eales look like an extra from Underbelly.

Nathan being the perfect Clubman that he is says - of course Mitch, I can teach him the ropes and that sets him up as the long term Poster boy for the club and my obvious replacement.

Richard of course is singing la-la-la-la in his head as he is having quiet negotiations with the Reds and couldnt care less.

The rest as they say - is history.
