[QUOTE=Pacman;322507]I hate to say it Ralto, but RWA are behind as much as you are mate when it come's to competing for these boys. Here's the link to the 2011/2012 SG Ball 25 man Squad which competed early this year. (20 are local)

I did state - "I am aware of at least 3 (with my limited knowledge) " - I don't follow league that much, and I don't get paid to promote Rugby like RWA, and I don't make it a habit of competing for boys?. My shortcomings here were predictable, and overtly stated, I beg for your forgiveness.

Forgiveness respectfully granted, but i wouldn't recommend making it a habit of competing for boys - Unless.........

Surely a WA based Toyota cup team would be a great recruiting pool for the Force

At least it will keep talented boys in the state for a bit longer. Until rugby in Australia has a second tier competition ARC more and more players will head to league. It's little wonder why more and more local kids are switching to league As an u18 you can play SG Ball fly interstate every second week and have exposure to scouts which could lead opportunity to be picked up by a toyota cup team and have the chance to be paid to play sport in a professional environment and travel the country doesn't take a genius to realise this.

A NRL side in Perth could if the Force recruitment looks into it be a nursery for young locally bred rugby players.

The question then becomes on of , "Do I go back to Rugby and cool my heels on the bench until I get a shot ? Or do I stay with RL where even if I don't make the match day 17 I'll still be playing a full game in State Cup, Q Cup or Toyota Cup?

The only way forward is for either a revamped ARC or second 15's curtain raisers at conference matches AND re-establish an academy.

If you care about the ongoing viability of the Force you should.

And furthermore they can watch league matches (and the footy show) on FTA Television ! In some ways the $$$ Rugby gains from pay TV is negated by having so little rugby on free tele.
