Ridiculous. Provincial comp. Gold coast has a terrible record for sporting teams. Force are awesome.

I'd be a lot more worried about what they are doing to give WA teenagers a pathway to Super Rugby which does not require them to leave the State. SG Ball & Toyota Cups might seem an easier development course.

I imagine they'd be actively scouting the WAJRU for players too .

Absolutely, PNG may have the fans.... but the economic environment isn't exactly flattening..
Having worked in PNG, i find it extremely difficult to envisage how a NRL team could be hosted in that country.

Sorry guys, should have included a tongue in cheek smiley there.

I was merely tryin to read John ONeill's mind......he never seems to have been that keen on fighting for any market share in Perth and seems like he'd prefer to spend his money in the eastern states.

I could have picked western Sydney or central coast if it would have made it more believable?

Well once the Central Coast doesn't get an NRL team, that leaves a gigantic gap to the north of Sydney which is rugby union heartland

There are no Bogans in Kogarah. True story!

    They all live in Cronulla

You obviosly haven't been there lately. Stayed in the area b4 early flight after the Tahds match. Nervous walk back to the hotel from Arncliffe Scots' club. They're out there alright.

At least "the wanderers" is taken by another Australian sports team now. Can't get much worse than that

The Wanderers is a nod to the first Soccer team to represent Western Sydney back in 1880 which went by the same name
