    Well played Ireland

Great game and what a gutsy performance.
    Unlucky result.

Fantastic effort, what a horrible way to lose. Next time maybe.

    Soooooo close! Next time, Ireland.

(I'm still going to rag on a Kiwi mate, though, for winning in the English way )

After our Scotland result, would have loved an Ireland upset against the ABs. Who would have predicted NZ and Aus getting out of jail at the death..

Then Argentina defeating France to top it off.
Hats off to Ireland, fantastic guts shown and unfairly beaten by a crappy drop goal (usually employed by SA teams to drag themselves out of the shit)

All credit to them for the effort, but personal opinion is that they piked it and lost when they took that long range kick. They should have been prepared to go to the line and back themselves to score, or at least get a better penalty opportunity. It basically said to NZ that they didn't think they'd get a better chance to score in the next 5 minutes so they were prepared to take a 50-50 kick (at best). Self-fulfilling prophesy.
