Id still prefer Richie McCaw in my team over Pocock..
Dave might be the better scavenger, but Richie is the better all round player and linkman.

    Westie Man

All he's trying to do is hold on to his job by ingratiating himself with senior players in the squad. If Genia didn't play last night the Wallabies woulda been rolled.Sorry Robbie your gonemiester

I see it as a great compliment to an incredibly talented guy. Genia did a great job and deserves any plaudits but Pocock is the man. Who else works as hard as him. Who else has the respect of so many players, this country and overseas. Which other young and upcoming Wallaby player can you look at and see a platform to grow a great team from.

    Go Pocock!!!

Great compliment truly deserved. He works like a trojan.
"He's really grown from a leadership perspective, just from stuff that he's had at the Western Force. You can see he's calmer, he's clearer."....
And saying that Poey can make the Western Force his as a great captain!

What's more, it was criticism they deserved. Both played poorly.

But note which two players Pocock singled out for lavish praise in his post-match interview on Saturday night - Genia and Barnes. And this time the praise was as warranted as the earlier pasting. It says good things about what sort of captain Pocock hopes to become, quick to prod, equally quick to praise.
This is a quote from Wayne Smith article in the Australian (Genia saves Deans Bacon), which offers an interesting perspective on Bam

He's a fantastic flanker and a great poacher, probably the best flanker ever in and around the ruck. But not the best flanker ever.

I dont think deans was saying he is the best flanker of all time (yet) but that he is the best fetcher/scavenger he has ever see. yes Mccaw does stuff that pocock doesnt but there is not doubting the effectiveness of pocock at the break down.

Right. Yeah I don't think I've seen a better scavenger.

That blindside is the Qld/NSW sub species. Fortunately none of them have made it through the vermin fences as yet.
