Should put Ralto and Rumour Monger together.

No room for personal insults in any discussion, play the ball - not the man.

The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor

He got the hump at not being selected, so the coach did a "Mother Duck" and got him in, then he decided he didn't want to
If he got the sulks because he wasn't selected and turned down the opportunity when he was offered, well that's just childish. It's like turning down a job because you find out the 1st person they offered it to turned it down & you were 2nd choice.

What's the issue re pvt schools in WA. Turner, Godwin, Zac Holmes, Welborn, Longbottom, Haylett-Petty, Wallace-Harrison to mention a few.
The issue is that these private schools do not introduce the game to most of these kids its the clubs.
The schools play at year 9 and up. The school competition includes the juniors who's parents can afford to send kids to those schools and sometimes schools offer inducements to some other talented juniors who would not normally be able to attend those schools. They then play their competition on weekends which is at the same time as the club competition which only dilutes the quality of both competitions.
The schools should either play their competetion as part of the club competition or on weekdays thus allowing those school players who wished to play against more talented opposition greater opportunity to do so on weekends with clubs.
I know that 1 of the names mentioned above only played school rugby for 2 years. Prior to that he played club rugby for 5 years and after school rugby again played more club rugby both in perth and brisbane prior to being picked up by the force.

You are misinformed- in PSA schools they play from Year 5. Don't assume it is all clubs that get them started - many pick up the game for the first time in schools- anyway not an issue- at least they play rugby! Nearly a thousand kids play in the PSA comp each year. Good for rugby.

On another tack- a schoolteam is very different from a clubteam. Secondly rugby is only one of a few sports on Saturday PSA sport day.Not the only sport in these schools.

Do yourself a favour go and watch one of these games. Next week Hale host Guildford in a top of the table clash- should be some good talent and a good game.
