Turns out the rumours about Matt O'Connor as a option at the force was a load of media bullcrap and speculation.

Im pretty sure i read somewhere Cheika hasnt actually applied for the Force job either yet there's heaps of speculation that he is the front runner etc.
The media seems to be doing its best to destroy the EWF's credibility atm....mind u we make it easy for them as well at times.

Of course. The Eastern media can make up a candidate and then run two stories:
1) The Force are in so much trouble that they are talking to X.
2) The Force are in so much trouble that X has turned them down/never heard from them.

And, then when we do hire a coach they can run stories that they are our 2nd/3rd/4th choice because X, Y & Z turned us down.
