How is the MOM chosen and by whom?

I find it a curious thing that a player can be MOM despite being sin-binned during the game.

I was thinking the exact same thing last night when watching the replay. The doofus commentator seemed to think KB was more deserving??

At Perth Premier level, we pick the 3 2 1 after the final whistle, but then Fox Sports have to announce it during the telecast I suppose.

...and I agree with James - KB was most influential and played good.
