    Blame David

When did we collectively decide that it was David Harvey's fault for the fact that we lost todays game?

It must be David Harvey's fault that we lost last week too?

Was it David Harvey's fault that we have had a shocker of a season?

Was it David Harvey's fault that Richard Graham left the Force - Actually not sure who we have to thank for that one -Actually lets thank Rex

Lately it seems that this Forum is blaming David Harvey for everything from the Extinction of the Dinosaurs through to the Global Financial Crisis.

David Harvey is a rugby player that came to us when we needed someone. He has scored a bucket load of points for us and has done nothing but played his best for us. And yet a large percentage of people on this here forum are holding him up to ridicule and blaming him for all of our collective woes.

As a player for the Western Force -he at the very least deserves our respect.

What he doesn't deserve is being blamed for all of our woes.

him alone accounts for over 20pts...

2 simple missed tackles 14 pts.

falling for a dumby being a fullback is inexcusable

not finding touch with his first kick - kicking straight to beale they launched 12 phases later they score.

missed tackle 1v1 on vuna when he had 1m to work with.

and then there is his goal kicking. At least 5pts went missing.

So through his errors the rebels were able to have a pretty handy head start in the game

respect - that's earned not given. playing for the force is he's job. if a barista makes a bad coffee thats cold with burnt milk, the customer would return it, so just because its a sport he still needs to be accountable for his appalling display today

Can appreciate that BUT he had a shocker and mafi has consistently been our best attacking player this season.

James Hilgendorf didn't appreciate some bloke down our end yelling out that he must not be any good cause he is sitting on the bench. What I would give to have him back in our squad at the moment.

indeed he,Harvey, was recruited to get us out of a hole-on a 4 game contract-then extended to the end of the season;but what was the rationale of signing him up for next year before this season was over?

he was in the team today to kick goals

Sorry Ex,but he should not have been resigned so soon

The thing is, X; The blame for this week's loss lays sqarely at the selection table. How.could.any selection committee leave Mafi out? Thay's not 20/20 hindsigjt either. Most of the punters around here jave been asking that question for ages. The boys looked to have the atyacking edge form the mimute he took the field.

I don't blame Harvey for the entire loss, but he wasn't having a good one and it was a good thing he was subbed. I'm with slomo - I'm no mathematics wiz but I'm pretty sure that 3 is less than 7. The season is gone. We should throw it around and see what happens.

I'd actually still put Harvey at 15 and Mafi to 12, but today, it was Harvey who made the difference. once Mafi replaced him, the defense stiffened up, the attack started to flow and we started to believe we had a chance. I don't think Dave's up to the standard, but he does less damage at fullback than rory Sidey and Winston Stanley have been at 12. You simply can't die with the ball if you're the 12!

Having just watched it on fox I still think Harvey was the difference.
I said back when he joined us that he lacked skills at this level.
Yes he has been on the pitch which helps but why resign someone that is just a gap filler.

I feel sorry for Harvey. To me he just looks scared shitless the whole time he's out there. When he's got the ball and nobody to pass to,I've noticed he takes a couple of short steps sideways and stands still. The opposition attack him like a pack of wild dogs and we invariably lose possesion. In defence he finds ways of not making contact with the ballcarrier. He looks like a really nice person,so I wish he would go back to the Shute Shield where he would be a star again-for his own sake.

He is in the side to kick. Which is good 'cos he's shite with ball in hand. He missed 5 points from 2 kicks out in front. We lost by 1.

Harvey is definitely a large part of the problem.
