Not true Ecky, I supported the Force when Giteau arrived, and I supported 14 of them every week while he was here!

(actually that's stretching it a bit. Even though I was frustrated by his poor play and self-importance, I still cheered him on and off the field.)

I wouldn't normally say this, but with Cooper putting his price tag @ $400k its a bargain and we dont need to use our marque player plus have more money in the kitty to get a inside and / or outside centre.

He would have had a much higher price tag but for his woeful World Cup performances.

FFS, has everyone missed the bit about how the Force offer to Genia, the Reds offer to Genia and (presumably) any corresponding offer to Cooper were all contingent on the expanded salary cap? Without that, this would all seem to be a huge exercise in mental masturbation unless we (of all people) are suddenly allowed to procure third party deals.

We could apparently afford 550k for Genia under an 4.8 mil salary cap. Under a 4 mil salary cap that is proportionately 460k. If we weren't paying for a marquee 10, we could use up a foreigner spot bringing Swanepoel back which would be good value for money. I wouldn't rule Cooper out completely.

Got to agree he has it all but of he carries on playing like he did last week he will be the starter and get a lot more exposure.Shame about the shoulder injuries though.
I can see him getting a Bok shirt in the not to distant future.
Maybe he is the guy we have to go after with all guns blazing and hope that the ARU see it the same way and look at him as a future Wallaby.

Oh, ok, when I read up on the teams for my fantasy team it sounded like Ebersohn had been called back into the side. My bad........doesn't change the fact that we need him.....and if he plays for the cheetahs, he won't play springbok footy coz he's not a forward.
