Hodgo will be 34 by 2015. It would be unusual to sign a player of his years to 3 more seasons. Even a lionheart like our skipper. Bloked like him can be counted on to take the right decision - for all stakeholders - year to year anyway. Would def get his sig for next year if he geels god to go.

Yeah, Hodgo is not going anywhere and a three year stint at his age carries a fair responsibility of turning into a Cam Shepherd type situation. Not good for the club and not good for the man either.

I'd be entirely happy to give him a year-by-year and ask him whether he wants another crack every season.

It helps that he's one of the most underrated backrowers around. Certainly makes the rest of the backrow look good without standing out himself. Everybody will be falling over themselves to give money to Pocock, et al and won't even think of our skipper!

"Morahan, meanwhile, is poised to join the Western Force next year. The franchise is also chasing Reds hooker James Hanson, who has also received interest from the Melbourne Rebels.

It is understood the Rebels have put their retention and recruitment on hold until the Kurtley Beale issue is resolved."

more 2014 squad but i like Morahan he can bring his little brother with him 2 please.

“Everyone knows whether it’s rugby, politics or whatever, front-rowers should rule the world, so to have a hooker at the helm makes sense,” Nathan Charles Western Force & Wallabies Hooker.

    Morahan would be great.

Hanson would also be great, but I would feel guilty if we did nab him. I think both Charles and Hanson deserve to be starting hookers and I think we have Charles signed for next season. I wonder if this means that Whittaker is looking elsewhere.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are looking at bringing Zack Holmes back to Perth.Zack and Kyle would be a good inside pairing for 2014.Both Aquinas boys to.

It was written by Brett Harris. I say no more.

anything written by Harris is a steaming pile of bullmerde

And he always has a vested interest in bringing down the Force, so the only reason he wrote it is to scupper the move and increase the liklihood of another franchise getting him.

Really - both are Aquinas boys? I had lived there in the early '90s, when I was doing a Uni internship in Perth, and I didn't think their rugby program was that strong. Has that changed?
