And that is the point, they had nothing to do with it and yet we lost a great opportunity. They should have had more to do with it and had the ability to ensure any eventuality that could derail a potential signing of Genia's magnitude was covered. In my opinion they are not up to the job. Sorry you think its crap AndyS ;-)

Don't get me wrong, there have been plenty of instances where I have questioned their approach or performance. I just don't think this is one of them, or that any blame for this shambles attaches to them. For mine it is all on the Reds. If RugbyWA had leaked the news, the ARU would have probably found some way to fine them.

Yeah, reckon you're right there Rex. Apparently the Force deal was just a red herring to throw the press off the trail. The real competition for Genia's thumbprint was coming from the Southerners Rugby club from Bangkok. Wonder what they could throw on the table. Apart from playing for the same club as Zinzan Brooke once represented.
