    Haemorrhoid Rugby Clubs

Another season, another pain in the arse drive from the minnow clubs wanting to play with the big boys.

Why can't they get it into their heads that clubs with five plus teams want to play against clubs with five plus teams and want for their social grades to play at the same venues as their seniors?

What senior club gives a flying toss about Joondalup, Leeming (or whatever they call themselves this week) or Mandurah? Form your own Disneyland Union and play with yourselves. You are not needed or wanted. Serve the purpose you pledged you were created for, to service juniors whose parents can't be bothered driving their children to a proper club.

    Am I being too subtle?

    Well said Fulvio.

Joondalup apparently think they'll be in 1st grade in 2014. Pigs might fly!

They are as far away from 1st grade as Fulvio is of playing 1st grade (or any grade for that matter).

Our 3rd grade can smash their top team so what does that say.

    Go Neddies.

PS And Curtin are a bunch of monkeys as well apparently.

I was just trying to find the link you beat me to it

Very little effort put into that trolling effort Fulvio. I'd be surprised if you get any bites.

I'm not so sure Fulvio is trolling.

In every major sport there are various levels and a competition structure that supports this.

English rugby changed many years ago from a traditional fixture arrangement to a League system where clubs compete in their own divisions with promotion / relegation situation at the end of the season.

Rugby in Sydney and Brisbane has the Premier clubs and also the sub - districts competition. The WA system is not much different.

Even in local cricket there are the WACA clubs and then there is the suburban turf teams playing in a lower tier competition.

The serious rugby players in Perth should be aiming to play for a Premier Club as part of the pathway through to higher honours.

The District Clubs should be semi-competitive and social grades for the average rugby player wanting a run each weekend and also to act as feeder clubs for the higher level competition.

Perhaps there should be a Best of the Districts Team versus a Rugby WA or Premier Level team each year to showcase those players?

There is a difference between trolling and the statement of an unpalatable truth.

Ask any Senior Club official what they think, if you think I'm trolling.

There are 10 premiership teams with most fielding about 5 teams, Prems, Reservse, 3rd Grade, 20's, 18's and 5th grade. Along with about 5 clubs fielding a Womens team.

I tend to agree with Fulvio

If you haven't at least have 5+ teams eg:
    a premier,
    reserve,
    3rd,
    4th/5th,
    U20 and
    U18's team
then you are just wasting the other clubs time and do not deserve to be called a premier grade club
