Why do people bag Rockingham?

Just moved down South from up North. Noticed last year everybody seemed to be bagging Rockingham (RFU & place). Just wondered what the history was???

Rocko has a really poor social demographic. It's a total shithole and I can't wait to get the f**k out of here. Full if cashed up bogan white trash scum who don't give a toss about anything or anyone. A lot of people here work away so they come home and just party up. Most fpeople under the age of 30 have the mentality of a 16 year old with their drinking and the same behaviors as everyone would expect From people who can't handle their alcohol. Loud, aggressive, belligerent, etc

BUT beautiful beaches, fishing and there are nice houses. However like most of WA it's overpriced

People are people wherever they live, and there are some very nice people living in Rockingham, many of whom are members of RRUFC.

Running people down just because you can is not a good look.

Also not all of Rockingham is low SES. Parts of it are actually pretty high.

It's not just because I can fulv. Grew up here and it's social demographic is embarrassing and disgusting.

As a bloke whose lived in the city of Rockingham for 18 years, I think I've earned the right to take the piss out of myself with the began stereotype, sure there are some rough elements in Rockingham, but I'd never consider leaving. The rugby club is a good, old-fashioned, amateur era rugby club which has all the highlights (and lowlights) of such, but the place is filled with good, honest working class people and some cubbies.

I don't worry about walking the streets at night, my house hasn't been burgled unlike some other suburbs I've lived in and there's always the ability to take the piss out of your mates by calling them bogans.

It could be worse, I could live in Maddington
