On Swanny i guess we will see him pop up in the shield next year, it was always going to be hard for clubs to cary 3 specialist Halfbacks with the sizes of the squard. Even more so when we have Stannard aswell. (God i hope we see him with the 10 on all season!)

I counted the squad numbers to see if there were any clues there, but only more questions
    Blues 32
    Saders 30
    Canes 32
    Chiefs 31
    Highlanders 30

Is there any form of organization in NZ rugby at all?

England Rugby World Cup 2011 loose forward James Haskell is to play Super Rugby after a surprise move to the Highlanders.

Haskell is one of 28 new names included in the five New Zealand franchises announced on Wednesday, less than a week after the Highlanders said he was unlikely to join them.

The 26-year-old had expressed an interest in playing Super Rugby, but Highlanders chief executive Roger Clark said as recently as last Friday that the forward was "not on the list of available players at the moment so we can't pick him".

But the New Zealand Rugby Union confirmed on Wednesday that Haskell was one of five overseas players who appeared at Rugby World Cup 2011 to take up places in New Zealand Super Rugby sides for next year.

Samoa's Tusi Pisi is joining the Hurricanes, while teammates Kane Thompson and Mahonri Schwalger have moved from the Highlanders to join Tonga's Sona Taumalolo at the Chiefs.

Haskell, who can play in all three loose forward positions, will link with the Highlanders after completing a spell with the Ricoh Black Rams in Japan.

He will rejoin London Wasps at the end of the Super Rugby season.
