Can the Bokke beat the Blicks?

The kiwis have shown a massive disrepect to the bokke by leaving a lot of front line test players at home.

I think this is partially an "up yours" for doing it to us and also a sign of a lack of respect. The haka will be interesting. Which haka do thiose belters use when they don't respect their opponent?

The kiwis love the slit-the-throat haka when their small brained perception is that the opposition has no respect for them. Nothing like a massive chip to choke on for your own rugby world cup.

    Can the Bokke step up?

If the bokke go into the RWC 0-4 from the Tri-nations there should be enough internal pressure on coach and team to see them derail themselves with factional in-fighting.

The form was pretty ordinary against the wallabies and their 9 man rugby is unlikely to beat the Blicks.

An interesting test match for many reasons......bokke desperation, the hate, the rivalry, blick second stringers hungry for the opportunity, the Trinations could be put to bed with a 5 point haul for the Blicks (win + BP) it's a RWC year, lack of respect from the kiwis, anger, Bakkies cheap shots, intoxicated pitch invasions, South African tottie............I can't wait

I can't blame GH for leaving players behind. If the ABs don't win the world cup, he'll probably be out of a job and with it starting in a few weeks time, it would be silly to risk his best players. Wales and England have already lost players for the WC in their recent warm up games. Lewis Moody & Gavin Henson. In regards to the Boks game, i think it will be close, but probably the ABs by 8.

Will they beat the blicks? No..

Lets just call a spade a spade, the Springboks are crap.. Or a little more specific De Villiers is useless

Wasn't it last tri-nations they didn't win a single game.. Guess they are trying to make it two in a row

They had Jake White win them the world cup and they sacked him, replacing him with this arrogant prick.. 21 front line players injured and resting? My ass..

He's trying to rest them for the world cup.. It worked for White so he thinks it'll work for him..

    It wont..

This is the same coach that last week said this

De Villiers said that for his work he deserves a medal - "And a big one too," the coach added boldly according to Die Burger newspaper.

The Springboks coach said that the coaching team had done an excellent job getting players from different unions and game patterns into a "world class" teams within a few weeks.

De Villiers however insisted that the team had enough experience and talent to win the World Cup and Roux insisted that the best available players went on tour.

Absolutely. Boks by 4. More if it was at altitude.

The Boks will want this game far more than the ABs will. They were average against the Wallabies but will be better for the game time that everyone got. Surely de Villiers also won't be stupid enough to play Smit as a prop either. Nothing makes a team hungrier than 3 consecutive losses and the threat of another loss at home, as a last game before the World Cup no less.

Colin Slade is a big step down from Carter and should be very susceptible to Bok intimidation due to his inexperience. I'd expect the ABs line-out to get torn to shreds as well. The rotation will result in a bit of confusion and probably players not performing to their usual standard.

Then again with Pieter de Villiers at the helm you have to have some doubt in the back of your mind.

Boks will better, ABs are sending a second tier squad and could loose easy... McCaw and Carter are on long service leave... those 2 get more holidays than the Prince of Wales these days...

TAB (NZ) has them currently $1.87 even head to head. The Boks pride is dented so I'm picking a Boks win.

He's expected to stand down after the RWC win or loose, with his assistant Steve Hanson making a run for the job.

    NZ hubris could cost them.

The bokke will be absolutely desperate to win a Tri nations game prior to the RWC.

Lewis Moody out of RWC? Shame............not (chuckle, snigger)......Cooper about to cut loose

Short answer.....no, more detail, it might happen if the Blacks go into the match overconfident and start buttering around with a formula that works......that's the biggest problem with them, they're so smart they confuse themselves and lose the important ones.

I'm going for the draw, with significant injuries and bruises on both sides!
