Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.

I have just been analysing this answer from JO'C's interview -

"Q: One condition they said you wanted was the club signing two international backline quality players. What was the motivation for that?

A: To commit to the franchise and feel secure about my rugby development, it was important that the Force remained competitive and retained key players to ensure they can win Super Rugby titles.
    "

    In particular, this -

"....to ensure they can win Super Rugby title."

Now you may call me naive, but I'm wondering about the location of the worm hole JO'C will travel through, to access the parallel universe where Melbourne would have a snowflake's of winning S-15.

Who is your coach next year JO'C??? Oh that's right, you don't have one.

That's got to be good for your "rugby development".

What a load of rubbish from James, The Force wanted him hence the painful 5 month negotiation. Why would they move the uprights on the death knock?

    He thinks we are idiots.

Why not just accept the Force offer if you were so concerned about Rugby Development?

He has clearly not even made a sideways move going to the rubble.

James, please for your sake don't lose form...

I wonder how the financial investments set aside for O'Connor will be redistributed.

The Reds are drowning in backs- Simon Morahan, Luke Morahan, Aiden Toua, Kimami Situati, Dom Shipperley, Ben Lucas, Matt Lucas, Rod Davies, Tevita Kuridrani, Mike Harris, Jono Lance, Peter Hynes, Digby Ioane, Will Chambers, Ant Faingaa, Ben Tapuai, Quade Cooper and a handful of other guys who aren't far of being ready for Super 15 rugby.

Hard to see them hanging onto everyone. There are a couple of guys running around in NSW who might be worth a look too.

Tic, why do you think that the rebels don't have a coach in 2012?

Damien Hill will presumably be the man. A very capable guy, no doubt, but little experience at super rugby level.

Here is the broader question - how many $$$$ are now left (after the million$ paid to Beale and O'Connor), to "buy" some decent forwards - or to develop some.

My guess - not much. So in the scheme of things, having two very good quality backs without an experienced coach and forwards = fail.

Our backs have had the luxury of a fairly consistent forward platform to work with this season - the way it was distributed was lacking till seasons end - thanks Chuckie. Will JOC look on with envy next season ...

JOC now I have lost faith in you:

    1) Why would the Force scupper a deal to old onto their best marketing "brand" they have
    2) How are the Rebels going to compete for the title, oh yes sorry they have many international players from all over the world

Come on just move on now

Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”

Its a bit more then presumably Tic, he was announced as coach for the next 2 seasons on the same day that Maqueen moved into the director of rugby position...

I'm guessing you were unaware of this when you made your previous post.

No, I wasn't aware that it was official. The balance of my comments stand.
