O'Connor is also believed to be concerned Test breakaway David Pocock might also leave Perth. There was also difference between the two parties over contract length and remuneration."

Any Truth to this paraghraph or just a journo Clutching?
the conditions i believe were based on a second year option to leave if
1)Pocock left at the end of his current contract (2012),
2)if the Force did not recruit stand-out backline players, in particular a 13 and
    3) a KPI around number of wins in 2012...

there was also a third party payment dispute as well

Hang on a sec - QC never agreed terms with the Force. There was only ever media speculation that he had discussions. I doubt that the discussions were anything more than a testing of the market.

O'Connor has made his bed this time. You can hardly blame the ARU for this one.

    Interesting.

If the conditions were related to a second year extension, perhaps the reported conditions were not really outrageous.

If the KPI's were limited to number of wins and the other main condition was the retention of Bam Bam and a decent 13, I don't see why the parties could not have come to terms.

This seems to be quite different from what was being reported last night.

I wonder how Pocock feels being named in a KPI by JOC. It would seem to put him on the spot if he did want to leave for any reason after his contract expires (God Forbid!!)

I think its a mark of respect, that JOC would want him to continue. You can hardly blame him.

I am still mesmerised by Pococks performance last weekend. He is a once in a generation footballer.

Back to JOC - I can't help but think that he woke up during the night screaming "Oh my God! I really am a Rebel!"

He is just as likely to change his mind again and sign with the Rednecks or Capital Pony Club...

ad that he maybe got himself suspended on purpose so he wouldn't have to play against the Rebels.

I 100% support the EWF position.
Can you imagine the fall out if EWF signed and then the conditions got leaked?
No way, he's not worth that damage.
On your bike kid, you'll be seeing plenty of Bam, as his shoulder caves your sternum.

I hope he goes to the Brumbies. Maybe then you guys would release Lealiifano, Coleman or Toomua. Surely Lea... and Toomua must be pretty fed up of being shunted around the backline.

I can't see Jake White wanting 4 inside backs of that slight a build.

Toomua should have a RWA target on his head. The kid was the best number 10 at the Brumbies last year and they shafted him. Get rid of Ripia whilst we're cleaning the cupboard as well.

Frankly gents, they don't need his troubles, let him go to the rebels or reds... the brumbies are rebuilding they don't need a kid you is overly talked up way too often to sign a 1 year contract and ask for silly KPIs from a former RWC coach, he can just fuck off... elsewhere... and suck it up in France...
