A part of that is building combinations though. A lot of the time a good halves pairing seems to have a bit of a telepathic link. I'm sure with a few more games together he'll cut that out- but your right- it was very, very frustrating.

Yeah agreed James, two good individuals that haven't had enough time together full time yet.
I think that will be changing during the upcoming ARC Seaso....oh, that's right...

JOC to warm the pine till he comes out and tells us what he is doing ? no need putting someone in at a key position like #10 when he may not be here next year.

CHUCKY ALL THE WAY !!! swap inman (waste of space) for Shep is probably the only change i'll put in place from the team who played the Highlanders.

You don't bench a guy like O'Connor. You certainly don't replace Stannard with O'Connor given his current form, but you find a place for him somewhere on the field.

I don't think we should play Inman any more. I love the way Sidey and Dellit have been playing and I want to see more of that.

I think folks are being a little harsh on Inman on ability.
Fair enough if it is because he won't be here next year (eg James) but he has had a couple of pretty solid matches, especially the last one, and doesn't deserve to miss the 22.

    did he?

I thought he went missing in the last match, not so much defensively but certainly didnt have the impact ive seen him have previously.. they may have done their homework on him though...

He's been alright. I certainly didn't notice him as much against the Highlanders as I noticed Sidey and Dellit.

At the moment, if all are fit, I'd have 10. Stannard 11. Smith 12. O'Connor 13. Dellit 14. Cummins 15. Shepherd. 21. Willie Ripia (10/15) 22. Rory Sidey (Centres and wings)

I think a lot of people still hang it on Sidey because of the Red card get got against the Sharks. He's been good the last two weeks, incidentally the few starts he's had in the centres. Inman hasn't been bad, but he also hasn't been better than Sidey IMO. Dellit also better than both actually.

Nothing on Inman's ability. Probably more than anything its been his form, which isn't surprising with how much time he's missed through injury.

    Swanny 9
    Chuck 10
    JOC 12
    Dellit 13

Why get rid of the most creative 10 in the history of TWF?

I like Swanny at 9. Masive ones. Needs to work on his running game but he's big, tough, fast and has a magnificent passing game. Get rid of the poor old boy Sheehan. It's time TWF stopped becoming a retirment village.

Swanny was just great in the last 2 games and proved he's up to the level. Give him the opportunity or watch him leave. At 21 (?) we'll have a quality 9 for a long time to come if he gets a chance.

He reminds me of the Joost

We have a bit of a mortgage on talented hookers at the moment (Charles to 2012 and Whittaker to 2013). It would be great to lock in both Turner and Swanepoel as well.

That sure looks a promising situation just like the halves.Top young performers in both spots. They will be going hammer and tongs at each other to get the starting position. There is no shortage in some other positions either. It's fantastic to see the team finally seeing depth all almost all over the park.

    Couldn't agree more.

I think thats why we dominated so well against the Highlanders in the final 20. Dunning came on and we dominated in the scrums. Brown came on and we took the upper hand at the breakdown and he lifted the general energy level of the back five forwards. Whittaker had a pretty good impact too.

In the backs, Cummins from the bench was huge. He completely swung momentum when he took the field and almost raced away with that loose ball. He scored a massive turnover later about 10m out from the Highlanders line too.

The Force are a massive chance on their recent form to beat a depleted Reds team... Reds had had a lucky injury run until late this year... Looking forward to rookie journo Tim Horan talking the Reds up again...
