I'd like to see Sidey's signature on some Western Force paper. Any rumours on what he's doing?

I'd definitely be offering Sidey another 2 year contract. We are never going to build a good backline without having stability. Sidey was pretty good at 12 and has the versatility to cover 13 or the wings. He's no super star but, like Pat Dellit, he's one of those guys you need.

Get Stannard onto another 2 years on top of the 1 year contract extension he signed this year. Give Mafi another 2 years too.

not convinced with Mafi, he hasnt proved hes worth his spot yet.. was average in his last game and paid the price the following week by being dropped altogether as i recall it...

hes shaky in defence and hasnt gone looking for the ball like smith or cummins did

I'd give him another chance. Even if he is primarily looked at as bench cover. He is still pretty young and is capable of developing into a good player. He showed enough glimpses off the bench earlier in the season to show he is worth putting effort into.

Gossip out of G&GR is that the Force have signed Lachie McCaffrey from the Waratahs. Interesting move. I wonder if the plan is for him to take the place of Tevita Metuisela. Metuisela barely played this year and didn't amaze when he did come on. Hard to justify carrying a guy who will be about 30 next year and unlikely to make the starting line-up.

They have now squashed that rumour, he is staying at the Tahs.
