4th Grade Blue Dropped

Wests have dropped 4th Grade Blue just when two new teams have been added to the comp. Jay Bros and Cottesloe have added 3rd Grade Blue teams.

Perth Bayswater's 4th Grade Blue have been upgraded to 4th Grade Black and have added a 3rd Grade Black. For some reason RugbyWA have allowed this and which means Wests 3rd Grade Black and 4th Grade Black now have to earn the points they would have otherwise been given for the bye (5 points for a bye). Three teams have already been awarded their 5 points for their bye's. I can't see how that makes it a fair competition now but we are early in the season.

More constructively, how could we fairly introduce teams into a grade halfway through the season? Seems you're damned if you award points for a bye and damned if you don't.

i can't see any value in rugbywa adjusting comps once bye points have been awarded unless teams who miss out on a bye are given the points in lieu and all teams play the same programme of matches.....has the fixture been rewritten to allow this? Have the late entrants been awarded forfeits for the first rounds or are shey scored as byes? Does anybody miss playing the new entrants, do the new entrants miss playing anybody? Scheduling it wouldn't be a massive exercise, but it'd compl.etely screw any existing fixture!
