Maybe in his prime but the only version I remember is the one that forgot the name of a player he was interviewing, got in trouble for making homophobic jokes, and talked up the fact that the Irish pack had seven Munster players in it without explaining to viewers why that was actually good thing (they had just become European champions).

At least Gordon Bray tried to make things clear for the casual fans.
