Gits up to his old tricks.... ?

The ACT Brumbies have sensationally sacked coach Andy Friend after only two matches of the season.

The Canberra Times understands Friend has just been told he no longer has the club's support.

Giteau hasn't been mentioned anywhere. For all we know it could be any of the senior players/staff.

It wouldn't be a big surprise if he played a part, but the point is we don't know yet.

What (or who) is the only common denominator in (1) the sacking od David Nucifora, (2) the player revolt against John Mitchell and now (3) the sacking of Andy Friend?

Umm yea. Respond to my post about not making baseless assumptions with more baseless assumptions.

At no point did i say Giteau wasn't involved. But how do we know there wasn't any other senior staff member or player involved?

Oh thats right, we would need actual evidence to decide what the story is with everyone else.

Either way it's speculation, tell you what, you can speculate all you want that it isn't giteau and I'll speculate what I want.....I'm pretty sure we'll balance ourselves out

Where did i speculate that Giteau didn't organise the sacking of Friend?

I'll tell you what. I'll wait for evidence to arise and everyone else can make baseless assumptions.

Btw, for anyone interested. All we have to go on right now is:

Fagan said the Brumbies' management had changed the coaching structure before the start of the season to allow the assistants to have a more hands-on approach but the switch had not been as successful as hoped.

"I reviewed the situation, I took soundings from a wide range of people and it became very clear to me that a change was required and it was required immediately," he said.

"... We did put in remedial steps a couple of weeks ago in trying to address some of the issues we were facing but I felt these steps did not produce the results we desire and the decision was taken overnight to make an immediate change," he said.

It may be the case or not. But clearly there is more to this than "players got him sacked for no good reason".
