Surprised and relieved that Inman didn't have a cracked rib or two after the multiple hospital passes he copped on Sunday.

Thats a relief I like him as a player... he has agreat future.... he will be a better player with JOC inside him however. Gene hasny got the penetration skill JOC has to put big centres into a gap.
I think alot of stoppages were just plained stuffed!

I haven't read through all the threads yet, but am I the only person who was impressed by Gene Fairbanks ?

i was impressed, there aren't a lot on here it would seem who were. He played a solid game, and not too many mistakes. he will gel with his partners more and inman will have heavier running off him when they get some space.

I was a big Fairbanks fan. He put his body on the line a fair few times and won about two turn-overs. If he can teach JO'C how to throw around a light frame we'll be set.

I only remember the one hospital pass from Fairbanks to Inman and Inman seemed to spill the ball in bracing himself.

    palitu - my thoughts too.

I'd like to see both centres retained for the Sharks game, with JOC back to full back (with a remit to go where ever he wants in the back line on attack) and Shep over to Cummings wing. Comments ?

The only change will be JOC into #12 and Willie in at 10. Sheps made one mistake... he was solid be good to see him into the backline more oftenbut it wasnt that sort of game.... shit I am exciuted about next Saturdays game

nope, I was impressed enough to think JOC would be fine at 15.....Gene was solid, maybe not spectacular, but if you have solid at 12 and 'ard at 13, there's no problem with putting your spectaular at 15 to buy those guys some time by just lurking with intent.

Cullet in for Inman at the 60min mark will be a BIG deal particularly against the sharks whom ive never been impressed with fitness levels...

Ripia, Smith, Fairbanks, Inman, Sheperd, Oconnor

Cullet/Dellit in reserve thats my guess
