How's the growth of junior Rugby going in Bunbury. Country WA appears to be somewhere RugbyWA has failed to develop properly.

There are a couple of motivated parent volunteers from Busselton Jets, Bunbury Barbarians and Bunbury Bulls who are trying very hard to get the junior competition established and running smoothly down here. We had weekly games last year for the first time between the three clubs Weekly from May until September.

The Western Force development team are coming to Bunbury this week - YEAH - visiting schools. A player appearance is planned on Wednesday at Australind High. We are really hoping that this will generate lots of player registrations. The more players the easier it is to run the competition - less sharing players, better age groups etc.

SPREAD THE WORD - LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT JUNIOR RUGBY IS HERE IN BUNBURY

Nice work by whomever at the BunburyBulls who put up a looking for Rugby players sign on the fence of the local AFL ground. Ambush marketing at its best!

You probably know some of the regulars here at TWF then. There's quite a bunch of 'em around those parts - apparently.

Maybe a few of the metro clubs juniors should think about an away game down south, maybe even a carnival weekend, raise the profile of the game in the country and best of all...rugby touring early in life
