Yeah, And the under 20 competition gets higher TV ratings then Super Rugby football yearly. Not to mention first grade.

Bare numbers it'll have to be pretty close, Rugby League being the most watched sport on TV in Australia and super rugby not making the top 100 most watched payTV sports and no FTA coverage in Australia. That leaves RSA who gets no TV coverage of the NRL and NZ rugby union stronghold to make up the numbers. NZ would be the best opportunity to make up ground but the warriors rate well in NZ weekly which adds major coin to the NRL TV deal.

While I support all sports and particularly sport teams out of my place of birth (living in NSW since I was 3), I don't see any need for you to attempt to down grade another sport with childish names and the like. The mere fact that you highjacked this thread which has nothing to do with League and turned it into this is a sign of either two things.

One you fear the effect rugby league has had on union in other areas that may happen in WA.

Or you have serious problems behind the scenes, either way I'm not going to argue about which sport is better in any way or form in a thread about super rugby trials on a rugby union thread. That is just outright dumb and plain troll activity which I'll steer clear of.

Good luck to the Western force for the extended 2011 season.

Now back onto the topic at hand, not having a home trial will be a major blow for the force as it would any team not having a home trial for the season ahead. It really is a no win situation that fans, members and players lose out on. It will be more difficult for the players and fans due to the fact that the force do not get a home game until round 3. It however is a problem that exists in a number of different sports across the globe. It'll be interesting to see how all the Australian Super Rugby Teams go in next seasons competition.

Well I reckon you'll be right. I'm betting the new addition will take hook, bait, sinker, line and reel. Even if he has sussed you as a troll already.

Whi
St you two are arguing at crossed purposes and Rex is trolling in his usual style, I think you'll find that more south Africans watch super rugby than there are Australians. That's the point he was driving at.

Not taking, his side, I think league is killing us in the marketplace where there's a competition to be had, yet another reason why rugby needs a true fta broadcast deal.

The ARU has a good product
They are 20 years behind the mungoes in marketing
This is a great tragedy for a code full of private schoolboys with elite educations
The ARU needs to dip into the pockets and market the game..........minileague from 22 years ago
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXIzp0ok24I&feature=player_detailpage"]YouTube - 1989 Tina Turner Rugby League promo[/ame]
Maybe we should get Shasta and Gigs on the bar with their pants around their ankles?
Minileague is under threat from other codes in its heartland. They killed clubs like Newtown and the mighty magpies (don't start your tripe about the amalgamated Toigs). Stepping into the vacuum in the west is an AwFuL expansion club.
Most minileague clubs are broke and relying on selling rum and cokes to 15 year olds back at the leagues club where the players get their fingers into sticky situations with minors
