Talking of Pocock, was he wearing the headgear to protect an injury or has he just decided to start wearing one?

yes that is what i was thinking. I hate playing in head gear, even though im in the second row. I rather get my ears strapped. It gets too hot, and i can't cool down with it on.

i find you can become a bit blinkered wearing headgear, it somewhat reduces and muffles your hearing, i used to wear it anyway, except on the really hot days.

He had an ear blow out on him, so "water polo" one ear, normal headgear the other side.
Should be a lovely sight by SR season, hope he doesn't end up with a perpetual bleeded like Chris Jack et al
