If McCalman learned to get a bit lower when going into contact he would be deadly. He has probably the best work rate of all the forwards (bar Bam Bam).
Unfortunately, in my observation, offers but rarely delivers in the big matches.
It is one thing to rampage against the lower teams in S14 or NH, but he isn't consistent against the top S14 or 3N.
I don't have anything against him, I quite like his play when going well, just have been let down a few times now and have lost faith.
"Bloody oath we did!"

Burgs is right
Palu is a massive powerful Unit that we hope and pray will belt allblacks backwards and make them scared of running at us..........but it never happens.
Palitu is not from my stable
Controversy corner
He does perform though. Palu that is.
He has lifted his game in the last few years and regularly performs now.
AGREE 100%... hes a big unit and needs a few extra steps to get going which he hasnt been getting hense unable to get over the adv line. I would like to see him deeper when hes smashing up the middle..... 2011 S15 EWF be interesting to see where he ends up or Browny benched ??
I'll believe you when you can post video of him performing against any of the top three nations.
I won't even bother qualifying that he has to have had more than one good performance. If he can genuinely get two or three things on a highlight reel for any match I'll eat my words
C'mon the
Last year against Ireland and England he had two very good games (admittedly he was yellow carded against Ireland but that was a load of crap). England would have to be considered the 4th best team in the world at the moment.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
