They are a force three hurricane ready to cut a swath through Super rugby defences next year.
Tim Fairbrother, Willie Ripia and David Smith will be in the same team for the first time in almost two years when they take the field for the Western Force next year.
The former Wellington Hurricanes trio played Super rugby together in 2009, while Ripia and Smith spent the last two seasons there and at Taranaki in the National Provincial Competition.
For the next year at least, Perth will be home for the Hurricane connection.
Fairbrother has one year left on his contract, New Zealand Maori representative Ripia has signed for two seasons and as the Force international marquee option, and Smith has a one-year deal.
Ripia and NZ Sevens player Smith arrived in Perth this week knowing there will be a lot of pressure on them to perform.
"There's going to be expectations on us but we haven't been picked because we do anything extra- ordinary, we've been picked on what we do every time we play," Ripia said.
"If we can grow on that, grow what we're good at, then we should be in for an exciting season."
Fly-half Ripia had been behind Aaron Cruden since joining the Hurricanes in 2008. He believes he has something to prove.
"I came to Perth because I wanted a whole new challenge. I want game time," he said.
"I got comfortable in New Zealand. I got into a routine. I'm looking forward to a new challenge."
Winger Smith said the chance of playing with good mate Ripia helped him make the decision to move.
"It's good to have someone who knows how I play, who can put me into the space, direct me while I'm sitting behind him," he said.
Fairbrother - who qualifies for the Wallabies through his Australian-born grandparents - is unlucky not to be on the northern hemisphere tour having proven to be one of the best scrummagers in Super rugby last season.
He took part in Wallaby scrum clinics but injured a calf muscle in a club game and was ruled out.

Cannot wait until we see them playing together with the force.
They have alot to show and will want to really give the Hurricanes a look at what they have let slip away.
    Bring on 2011
