I don't get it either - I'd much prefer to have a hot cinnamon donut rather than those unappetising things.
So many people love them - we had a fundraiser for our touch comp, they needed to sell about 50 dozen to make it feasible - I think we ended up selling 150 dozen!

i did enjoy the original glazed donuts... but i gave Krispy Kreme up many years ago, hearing figures like 1 original glazed donut = 20min running turned me off them... trying to figure out how far i had to run after i just purchased a dozen pack made me upset
Was surprised to see on the news today that people have been known to have them flown interstate. It's a fuggin' donut FFS. The denizens of Koolan Island Social Club used to fly KFC in from Pt Hedland years ago. But that's all good.

I once bought a bucket of KFC near the airport and was asked if I wanted "The Miners Pack".
Apparently they get that many requests that they now assume anyone getting a bucket there will want it wrapped in alfoil for a flight.
Back to the donuts, it has become such a wank fest of buying up a box of them to fly West, like they have become some sort of a status symbol. WA needs it about as much as pokies. And if my overhead compartment is full because of your box of crap then expect it to be squashed by the time you disembark...
