Haig was released at the end of this last season.
Andre is out now that we have got David Smith in the mix as that's our two foreign players right there...

I am pretty sure Ripia is not a marquee signing, nor will be Smith. That position is still open.....I think

Ripia is a development signing and David Smith looks like a marquee signing going by the IRB rules -unless he was under 18 when he played in that Sevens tournament. So if Smith is signed it looks like Pretorius is out of the picture. I'd wager that the Force will look at James O'Connor and Bart as back-up 10s to Ripia. I don't think there are any spots for backs left in the squads but I am pretty sure there was a NZ 10 other than Mike Harris (who signed for the Reds) that the Force was looking at.

Even if David Smith was a development signing we wouldn't get another marquee. It's either one marquee and one development or 2 developments.

OK, I thought Ripia was signed as a Marquee.......possibly just because it was the position we had our Marquee in last year.

That makes Smith a safer bet because all we need to demonstrate is an unsatisfied need (and it's quite obvious that we're short of speedy outside backs)

I hope they slot Chucker Stannard into a back up 10 role. He was pretty good marshalling the troopps during the 7's and he has played there before. From what I have geard from HQ, JT is training the house down and will keep Shets on his toes for the strating 9 position.

It would definitely be interesting to see if Stannard can take his rugby 7s form into the Super 15.

Has Justin Turner got over his knee (?) injury already? I thought it was pretty bad and keeping him out of most of next season.

I hope he has. We need a bit of live-wire out of 9. Especially since Willie Ripia isn't much of a running 10.
