Not the kind of thing I like to see from one of my favorite Western Wallabies Richard "Dirty Dog" Brown.

This was a half page picture on the back of the Christchurch Press today

When questioned later Muliaina played down the matter saying the game had been "physical".

"The game was fairly fast and physical ... there were a lot of bodies being thrown around. There was nothing that I can remember," Muliaina said.

The photo looks very damning, but if, as Happy has posted, Muliaina said 'there was nothing that I can remember', then Brown must have the benefit of the doubt, it probably just looks worse than what is was.

If Brown had dug his fingers into his eyes then Muliaina would definately remember it..

I would believe it more if it was video evidence.

A shutter speed of 1/1000th of a second isn't much.

I think an incident like that is a bit different to off the ball in a ruck or maul too, in the act of tackling you are just latching on to what ever gets in front of your hand.
I am happy to be corrected (can't be bothered checking photos/footage) but I didn't think Brownie taped his wrists?
