    Bledisloe Melbourne 31st July

G’Day guys is anyone else attending this game? I am going over with a couple of mates over the weekend from the 30th till the 2nd. I am looking for a decent pub to attend whilst over there and well to be honest if its one thing you guys seem to know as well if not better than the Force its where and what to drink! We are staying in the middle of the city and unfortunately before the game will be going to watch Collingwood and Carlton at the MCG, needless to say with the GAFL and the rugby it is going to be a very busy and messy day.

    Suggestions?

I'll be there with son and some kiwis

If the last time the Bledisloe was held in Melbourne is anything to go by, we will see why Melbourne is the capital of New Zealand before the match - but the kiwis will be in hiding/misery/not-a-very-good-mood afterwards

Lots of good pubs in Melbourne but the match is at Etihad this year, not the MCG which is within walking distance of some of the better ones (eg Young & Jacksons).

One reason why the i-phone is just great is that apps will tell you where the pubs are and how to get there

Knew I had asked the right crowd for this info!!!

Well last time we went to the celtic club beforehand, which is located at the corner of queen and latrobe (short walk to etihad) also saint & rouge isn't bad its on little collins between king and spencer street.

Big ox is also staying in the city and I live here so will be great to try and meet up with a few of you beforehand for a few drinks. It will be a great lead up to the innforcers tour over here next year

Somewhere within walking distance of the Etihad ground would be good. Nominations from anyone who knows the pubs nearby ????????????

And what do we wear to identify ourselves in addition to the wobblies jerseys/scarves/etc ?

If anyone else is over here Friday, apparently there is a meet and greet with the wallabies down on southbank between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.

In terms of saturday night before the game many of the venues over here are strict with supporter attire being worn out so it may be difficult to get into a few places.
A few options to begin with are:
The turf club - located on queens street
The mitre tavern - little collins
The irish times - little collins
Celtic club - corner queen and latrobe

Looking forward to catching up with a few of you over here on the weekend

Cheers for the info Little Ox may have to use the scarf as the form of support so we don’t get pinged after the game trying to get into some place!
