    WAR CRY

I was asked by Sharpie on Friday to try and get a team WAR CRY going for next season...we did try for 2010 but it sort of "fizziled"....so to heed the call of our beloved Captain...why don't we give it a real good try for 2011

One of the problems I noticed in the first few years at Subi is that "force" is only 1 syllable. So, when we all chant "Fo - orce", we all sound like a bunch of, um, well, folk with learning difficulties......

Agreed Ecky. I reckon just a forceful "FORCE"...yelled all together or rolling from different sections of the crowd and all choreographed by those cheer people and Westie.

(Picked up and dragged across from the other thread ...)

A successful campaign depends on some decent planning and breaking it down into achievable stages which allow various people to all contribute do-able amounts of work. Gigs - this means that you will not be a lone voice 'cos we will have it organised so that other keen supporters (who are not TWFers) will be set up in a way that lets them join in.

First (and hardest) bit is to get a war cry that people will buy into - that requires some creative brains (count me out). From there it is organisation, cooperation and coordination. We need to get some significant numbers of flyers with the war cry printed; we need a number of people (TWFers?) handing them out at gates; we need a distribution of shameless types (again - TWFers) scattered through the stands to start it off and keep it going.

I do not think there is a lack of enthusiasm in the general crowd - just a lack of a concerted and organised approach.

Vote 1 - Hertryk for War Cry President!

The simpler the war cry the better. Austrlians will not buy into a long song that has been crafted for them. The less words the better and the greater the Force the War Cry can be belted out with.

People will not learn the words to a song but if it is five words they can scream...awesome.

How about.."F**ken Smash em Bam Bam!"

what could work is a war cry focused on individuals as above.

eg "Captain my Captain" & "Smash em Bam Bam!" or with the help of the PA system when it plays maybe a jungle drum sound and stops when it stops we all yell "Sick'em Brownie!"...

haha on that note " Who let the Brown Dog out!! Woah Woah!!" has a certain ring to it...

Also - those clappers we had for the Chiefs game (?) were flippin' amazing. The atmosphere was incredible, and Mum at home taped it for me so I could hear how loud we were - it was something! Definitely proved us as the one of the best crowds. RugbyWA should look at getting those around at some more games, they were fabulous.

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

We need someone to lead our cheers. Perhaps some cheer "leaders" or some such thing to help out...perhaps dressed up so as to make people notice them
