ME Bank Stadium Upgrade (state budget)

EXCITING UPGRADES TO ME BANK STADIUM
ME Bank Stadium, the home of the Emirates Western Force, has been allocated $83m for a new grandstand in the 2010 State Budget.
These exciting upgrades were announced today and we will be keeping members informed on when construction is to begin, and specific details on the upgrades.

Certainly better than nothing....new stand with plenty more corporate seating, and seating at the shed end perhaps. As long as we go for a basic design, none of this state of the art shit, we should be able to stretch taht money a reasonable amount.

if private investors can chip in as well. it would be pretty fiesable to see the entire stadium enclosed as one outer wall.
espically if Len Buckridge is still keen on his offer to build it at cost

I've really enjoyed viewing from the Shed end this year (sometimes sitting/standing in teh terraces and sometimes standing in teh shed) - I think they should keep it and build up the rest of the ground first.

Never had a problem with beers or wees (yes - I used the toilets)

the shed probably wont be removed, if they are going to do anything with it, i can see if being brought closer to the ground, and seats being placed behind it.
the shed and the standing area within it are iconic aspects of MES. hopefully they dont take them away

Well your alias is Coach, so I assume you're like that bloke from Brussels and just bashed your way to the dunny!

I agree that they should leave the shed, but the only other way is turning it into a Newlands style stadium. If you take the 2nd/3rd level off they're basically the same grounds.

Isn't the end goal still to build another stadium dedicated to rectangle sports and have MES as the back up? If they go that route then turning the shed end into a proper seated area and expanding it is the only way without building another level on both sides of the ground.

bring it forward, and built terraced seating behind it, just have the seating behind it at a steeper angle than the rest of the seats on the other sides, will still make it seem as close as you would be without having the shed in front of you

Women's "facilities" certainly not the best unfortunately...always a very very very long queue......Beer availability would always be more than adequate...well it would wouldn't it.?.

If you put 40k toilets in a 20k seat stadium there would still be a queue for the ladies toilets.
