I think Hodsie is my pick..... he lifted his game when the chips were down.

What is everyone’s thought on Best Rookie? We had a few young blokes play really well this year. The potential poll would be interesting and time filling until the Wallabies squad is picked and the national games start!

    Mark Swanepoel
    Ted Postal
    Mitch Inman
    Ben McCalman
    Nathan Charles
    Stefano Hunt
    Luke Jones
    Jono Jenkins
    Ted Postal
    Joelin Rapana
    Ryan Tyrrell

Another poll could also be the new acquisition for the year and what we rated them as performance wise.

    Brett Sheehan
    Mark Bartholomeusz
    Matt Dunning
    Tim Fairbrother
    Sam Harris
    Nic Henderson
    David Hill

I may be able work that out from those 2 lists based on voting ...however the voting favours those who play every game...

Rookie of the year would have to go to Ben McCalman, with Mitch Inman running him a close second. Both are bolters for the Wallaby squad IMO.

As for best aquisition, it would be Hill or Fairbrother (bloody kiwis!). Hill provided stability and direction in the backs. And Fairbrother has become a pretty handy tighthead, anchoring the scrum and giving us some power up front.

Yeah you are right coach it would favour McCalman and Inman but look at all those new comers that got a jersey this year!!!

Dunning would have to be my least impressive for the year. And I bagged on about him at the start of the year, constant penalties at scrum time.

Turner would be a bolter for Rookie as well he had a great (apart from a rocky Cheetahs clash) start for us

I'd have Inman has rookie of the year.

McCalman did fantastic, but he still had Sharpe & Hodgson around him playing the best Rugby of their lives.

Inman was in the backs around different people week in week out. To play at the level he did, in his first year with that stuff going on around him in the backline is nothing short of amazing.
