    Black yeah! Trialist, hmmm not this year. Who knows, obviously his goal but he needs a shot and he needs to take it when it comes. If he is good enough then he's good enough.

    Living at the coal face you may not be aware of the joke Woody, it's a fairly well worn line that every man and his dog coming over from NZ to play in WA was an AB Triallist, or at the very least the son of one

    I know three or four local fellas that played for Cottesloe in the late 80s early 90s that probably aided the myth. All ok footy players but AB trialists nah, and dad (3 were brothers Hale boys) I don't know that he ever played footy, but he's a pretty solid lawn bowler.

    As for Josh, he only ever played 1 full season of rugger in NZ and shit into every rep team (good coach!). His dad died about 12-13 years ago but was a feared player and a good soldier (no AB trialist but I think he made Combined Services who are normally fairly handy).
